Hugh Jackman reprises the role that made him a superstar - as the fierce fighting machine who possesses amazing healing powers, retractable claws and a primal fury. Leading up to the events of "X-Men," "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe whose appearances in the film series have long been anticipated.
Logan (Hugh Jackman) and Victor (Liev Schreiber) fight together in the Civil War. Then they stand by each other in the World War I. And WW II. And Vietnam too. Almost unkillable, with super abilities, they were born 200 years ago and they are brothers that have never had anyone in this world to rely on, except themselves. But things change. Colonel Stryker (Danny Huston) is always in search for creatures like Logan and Victor. He recruits them as elite mutant forces to deal with complicated missions that can not be handled by regular soldiers. Unlike his violent brother, Logan feels that he is really fed up with murders, blood, and deaths of innocent people, and he decides to quit the forces to start a regular "lumberjack" life in Canada. But Logan's past won't just let him go. It forces him to come back for revenge.
